Pivoting linoleum top with solid beech edging - black on one side (low position), light grey on the other (high position). She said a dual use was necessary 'to save space', with the table in a high position for eating, writing and working, and a lower position for use as a coffee table. In the higher position the top is light grey ('to be easier on the eye'), and in the lower position the top is black.
